Biography! In Fall of 1998 DJ Avery Matthews Enters his first gay club in Poughkeepsie, NY. At first he was not into dancing, but soon started to. He started enjoying the music of DJ Nasty Nell of Primetime in Highland, NY. In Summer of 2000 he moved to Albany, NY where he started to enjoy clubbing almost every night. He has seen many of the best dj's in Albany play. DJ David Barna in the Power Company, DJ Discreet at the Water Works, DJ Tomas at the Water Works. He had become friends with these dj's and in 2001 Started to learn the art of mixing music. To this day he constantly learns more from each and every dj he encounters. In the summer of 2002 He started the Capital Districts first local representation firm, AM Records. The record label has such dj's as DJ Discreet, DJ Avery Matthews, DJ Storm, and Singing Sensation Joye Belle. He began to learn a very recent and new style of mixing using MP3's on The Automix program. His love for computers and music finally came together. In the winter of 2003 he Djed at The Fuzebox. The Fuzebox went all Str8 and was offered to do a retro night at the owners other bar, OH Bar, Every Saturday. With Saturdays never picking up, he moved on. In Fall of 2004, DJ Avery Matthews Worked For one of the largest Gay bars, Club Phoenix. For one and a half years he made people move on Fridays. For a year he made the groove on Sundays. With business diminishing at the club, he felt he needed to move on. Between all that has gone on, he managed to put together three remixes which you can preview in the discography section. All his sets which were recorded are available in the purchase CDs section. Check out his new endeavor djing 3 times a week on WFAG Radio. With getting busy for events, he stopped WFAG Radio. Early 2008, He started a Justin TV Channel which he occasionally pops on and does a live set mix show. He continues to do private parties using Virtual DJ Software. more
